Chirac parle créole...

Je suis tombée sur cette vidéo des Guignols de l'info, qui montre Monsieur Chichi, du temps où il était Président, faire comme s'il maîtrisait le créole... J'adore les Guignols de l'info, vous le savez peut-être. Si non, cliquez ici.

A propos des DOM-TOM, Jacques Chirac a d'ailleurs déclaré lors de l'un de ses mandats : "L'outremer c'est comme une femme, il faut l'aimer. Quand on l'aime, on ne peut rien lui refuser".

I saw this video on the internet, taken from the TV show called Les Guignols de l'info , which shows Jacques Chirac when he still was the French President.
The video is after one Chirac's travel to one DOM-TOM*. It is very funny, Jacques Chirac says he can speak creole and just says nonsense, telling that Creole is his mother-tongue, in order maybe to get votes from the islands.

I put this video on my blog because it's in accordance with the theme, as I'm on the Réunion island, which is a DOM, and where creole is widely spoken.

Speaking about that, Jacques Chirac declared once : " You have to love the overseas, as you would love a woman. Because when you love, you can't refuse anything" (it was during a meeting where some politicians criticized the overseas territory, telling that there are very expensive for the French government).


*DOM-TOM=French overseas departments and territories.
